The Separation

Neither stars nor moon can make me happy anymore. Though it looks so perfect adorning the night sky such as a beautiful painting which is painted by God. I am losing my feeling. I am losing my life. I am confused between the future and past.

One day. Under the thick of pine trees being covered by dark, she came with her very strong eyes. She brought some brave and factious questions.

"Will you protect me forever?" she unexpectedly asked me, and it made me so confused. "Of course, Karina. What happened to you?" "I'm well. I just want you to always stay beside me forever." Then her tears flowed slowly. "It will be Karina," I said sincerely. I did not really know what the reason was that made her like this, and I did not ask her all the time. I gave my arms for her to be a good place.

We shared a warm embrace each other for a long time. The full moon and twinkle of stars seemed like smiles while watching our romantic style. Then, she whispered something close to my ear. "Please, don't stop loving me." "Ahh..." Suddenly she bit my neck so hard, and it was so hurt. I directly pushed her body. "What are you doing, Karina?" The blood came out from my neck, and it made me feel so dizzy. "I'm sorry, Miguel. Maybe, it is the way to make you always stay beside me forever," said Aphkarina as she cried, but I really did not understand what she said. My sight was blur, everything looked unclear. Then, everything changed into a dark.

Next, I woke up as a different. I felt everything changed, but I did not know what was happening. Then, I looked at a piece of paper beside me, and there was a message there.

"Miguel, please come to Kenari Jungle now. I need your help." I knew Kenari Jungle is a creepy jungle. There were many wild animals there. I was afraid there was something happening to Aphkarina.

As I arrived, I looked Aphkarina was surrounded by many people that had fangs and claws. I helped her, and at the time, I felt there was something on me. I felt I had a magical power. Then, due to the miracle, I succeeded in defeating them all. It was too late. I looked at Aphkarina lying down while screaming in pain.

"Are you OK, Karina? What happened?" I asked as I put her head in my arms. "Miguel, I am sorry because I make things difficult for you. Maybe, this is my last day," she said haltingly. "What do you mean?" "I am actually not a human, but a vampire. Just now, many people whom you have killed are wolves, vampire's eternal enemies. That's the reason why I made you like me. I needed your help, and thank you for your help." Her cheek seemed so runny due to her particle of tears. "I am fine. It doesn't matter. And yet you must stay. Don't leave me." "I am 400 years old already, Miguel. I think it is enough to end my life. Don't worry, hundreds or thousands of years from now, I will be reborn as a human being. You will meet me again. So, don't forget to protect me again. Protect me within your embrace." She gave me a sweet smile. Then, she closed her eyes slowly.
